Welcome, and thank you for being here. I’m Lily Truong…

As a mental health counselor, death doula, and healing arts practitioner, my approach is heart-centered, body-based, and trauma-informed. I practice through a social justice lens, bringing the perspective of a Vietnamese+American queer femme who weaves together Eastern philosophies of somatic mindfulness, grounding rituals, and contemporary depth-oriented theories in clinical practice.
My decade-long career in entertainment and marketing, combined with my experience as a business owner, has provided me with a rich background in cultivating relationships and building rapport through active listening and narrative storytelling—key elements in forming a strong therapeutic alliance.
My ultimate intention is to share the transformative possibilities and benefits of counseling and communal care with those seeking healing. Grief has been my deepest torment and greatest teacher, as well as the driving force behind why I became a therapist. Effective therapy and emotional support can be life-changing. It opened a portal for me to explore new ways of being and healing, learning and unlearning. I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Spiritual & Depth Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. My work as a counselor began in community mental health at Southern California Counseling Center and the juvenile injustice system.
I have divested from licensure to move away from the medical and mental health industrial complex rooted in a history of racism, systemic violence, disembodiment, and alienation from ourselves and our communities. By decolonizing my practice and extricating myself from oppressive systems, I am aligning my life’s work with my core values of advocating for holistic healing and collective liberation.

A glimpse into my world…

Well, I’m just an existential Earthling on this marvelous rock spinning around in space, coexisting and merging timelines with you here… a squishy, sensitive being with a squiggly brain.
Cancer ☀️ Taurus 🌚 Sagittarius ♐ Year of the Fire Tiger
My superpowers include my intentional practice of living life as a creative expression, my playful curiosity for connection, and my anchored resilience for navigating through storms of uncertainty. I am a free spirit with a vivid imagination who is highly intuitive and deeply empathetic. Being whimsical and a bit mischievous with a hungry appetite for adventure has made me an extreme side quest seeker whose love for learning and exploring new experiences knows no bounds. What makes me feel most alive are music, Chinese fantasy & historical dramas, Korean dramas, writing, embodiment practices, surfing, being in nature, solo road trips, sunsets, cloud gazing, moon bathing, listening to the rain, being a fun auntie, feasting with my loved ones, and big spooning my sweet lil cat, Tofu. I love fiercely with all my heart. In the depths of my soul, I know that love can transcend dimensions of time and space.
