Hi, I’m Lily! Welcome to our club where we celebrate heart-to-heart human connections. It’s important for me to introduce myself as a fellow existential Earthling and squishy sensitive huemun bean with a squiggly brain, not just by what I do for work.

There are a plethora of colorfully essential roles we have the honor of playing in life that aren’t acknowledged or attached to a paycheck offering priceless rewards. Some of mine have been and will forever be: child of Vietnamese war refugees, caregiver, niece, cousin, student of life, companion of death, rebel anarchist, lover, partner, and proud cat guardian who strives to embody the rich auntie archetype and be the ultimate bestie in my closest friendships.

My superpowers include my intentional practice of living life as a creative expression, my playful curiosity for connection, and my anchored resilience for navigating through storms of uncertainty. I am a free spirit with a potent imagination who is highly intuitive and deeply empathic. Being whimsical and a bit mischievous with a hungry appetite for adventure has made me an extreme hobbyist whose love for learning and exploring new experiences knows no bounds. I believe in the power of communal care and reciprocity because we hurt and heal collectively through the reflection of each other. My restorative resources include music, mindfulness practices, breathwork, binge-worthy watches in bed, writing, pole dancing, boxing, HIIT, hiking, surfing, solo road trips, chasing sunsets, cloud gazing, feasting with friends & fam, and big spooning my sweet lil cat, Tofu. I love fiercely with all my heart. In the depths of my soul, I know that love can transcend through dimensions of time and space.

I had the honor of joining my dear friend, Ellen Wong on her podcast, Mum to share about my lifelong relationship with death and how it has taught me to live with more love and intention. I learned breathwork from Ellen who is also a gifted space holder and storyteller with a healing voice and presence that carries powerful medicine and grounding wisdom.

Intervention is a clinical term we use in therapy, but I am convinced that an outervention is the prescription we all need. Got to join the best crew on an epic outervention to Iceland to rekindle my love and connection to the outdoors. Any dose of the outdoors is an antidote for stress and escapism from everyday life to reconnect with the real world and the present moment. For me, it is an intentional immersion into the true nature of myself and necessary nourishment for my mind, body, and spirit.

To venture out into nature is to also embark on the ultimate voyage within and explore my internal landscape diving deep into the unconscious parts of my being that house treasures to be discovered and keys to unlock my personal evolution. It is in nature where I am humbled, held, and healed.

Thank you, Backcountry, for sharing a bit of my backstory on this incredible adventure.
